WARBIRDS.IO

terms of service

Warbirds.io is a free browser game. These are the rules of the field: what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what happens to a callsign that ruins the round for everyone else. Flying here means you accept them.

The game is free, and it is what it is

Warbirds.io costs nothing, sells nothing, and is provided as is. We do not promise the servers will be up, that your career will survive, that a round will finish, or that the game will keep working the way it does today. We fly it ourselves and we want it up as much as you do — but no uptime is guaranteed and nothing here is warranted.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising out of playing, or failing to play, this game. Some places don’t allow that exclusion, in which case it applies as far as it legally can and no further.

Your callsign and your career

Your career is tied to a token in your browser, not to an account. Clear your site data and it is gone; we cannot restore it, because there is nothing to prove it was yours. Callsigns are not reserved, owned, or protected — another pilot can pick the same one.

Keep it clean. Callsigns that are slurs, harassment, impersonation, or the kind of thing you would not want on a scoreboard get filtered or removed. Chat runs through a profanity filter for the same reason.

Fly fair

Don’t:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs for advantage, or run modified clients, bots, or automation against the live servers.
  • Attack the service — flooding, scraping at volume, or trying to get at other players’ data or our infrastructure.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other players in chat or by callsign.
  • Use the game to distribute anything illegal.

Find a bug? Tell us at [email protected] instead of farming it. Genuine security issues especially — report them privately and give us a chance to fix them.

We can remove a callsign, drop a connection, or block access at any time if someone is wrecking the game for other people. There is no appeals board; there is an email address.

Who owns what

The game — its code, art, aircraft, sound, and the writing in the dev log — belongs to us. Play it, stream it, record it, post clips of it, write about it: that is all welcome and always has been. What isn’t welcome is repackaging or reselling the game as your own.

Privacy

What we store and how to get rid of it is set out in full in the Privacy Policy. Short version: no accounts, no passwords, no email addresses, no IP addresses, nothing sold.

Changes and contact

These terms can change; the date at the top moves when they do, and continuing to fly means the new ones apply. Questions go to [email protected].
