Daily missions for tankers and captains
Pilots have had three fresh objectives every day since the missions board first went up. Down on the steppe and out on the sea, crews got nothing to aim at: the only missions going were about shooting down planes. Now the Brick Steppe and the Brick Sea post their own.
TODAY'S MISSIONS, wherever you fight
Open the land or naval join screen and the board sits beside the hangar, just as it does for the air war: three missions for the day, a bar under each, and your progress filling in as you fight. Tap MISSIONS at the foot of the card for the same brief before you roll out.
On the BRICK STEPPE the day asks tank work of you:
- Knock out enemy hulls: four on a quiet day, ten on a big one. Every Crimson or Cobalt hull you brew up counts, whether a crew was aboard or the patrol was driving it.
- Score kills on strike planes or crewed hulls. That's what the Sd.Kfz. 7/1 is for, and it's what an Abrams does to a rival crew in a hull-down duel.
- Win a round on the Brick Steppe.
On the BRICK SEA the missions read like a captain's orders:
- Sink enemy warships: two to start, five for an admiral's day.
- Score kills on bombers or crewed ships. Keep your AA mounts busy when the carrier wings come in low.
- Win a fleet action.
Every ship counts
Sinking a warship now counts the same however she was crewed. Put a crewed Fletcher on the bottom and she goes into your log as a ship sunk, the same as one the fleet was sailing, so she counts toward your SHIP KILLER ribbon as well as the day's orders. A tank crew you knock out counts as a hull destroyed and a kill, so a duel with another player always moves the board.
What the missions buy
The paint schemes are aircraft paint, so a tank or a warship can't wear the mission prize the pilots earn. Down on the ground and out on the water, every mission you clear goes toward your CAMPAIGNER ribbon on the scoreboard. Clear one every day and your run of days makes you DEDICATED. Your missions log is the same one the pilots keep, so a captain who flies a sortie at lunch and sails one at night banks both.
